Videogamer’s brief thoughts on Virginia gubernatorial elections 2017

As a videogamer that has lived in Virginia, there’s too many things at stake in the State’s 2017 gubernatorial elections and one of those things are GameStop employees; accounting how local GameStop employees have made the sacrifice to service me videogame products for +10 years, it’s only fair to repay the debt and this gubernatorial election season is the opportunity to do that.

Videogamer’s rant about US Presidential election season 2016

This Presidential election season was a joke and I’m happy it’s over because the variety of Presidential choices were of lesser quality than the variety of videogame choices at a GameStop store; politics (at least on the federal level) in this country [United States of America] has been as bankrupt as Midway Games.

Grand Theft Election: Bush V. Gore political cartoon

MH4 gaming

grand-theft-election-bush-v-gore

I was never big on the Grand Theft Auto  series but chose to draw this political cartoon as a wordplay on it; more precisely, this political cartoon references the United States of America’s 2000 Presidential election, which resulted in a Supreme Court case titled as Bush V Gore; I used the Grand Theft Auto series’ font to write the ‘Grand Theft Election: Bush V. Gore’ title and names of national public figures that worked together in criminal manipulation of the Presidential election.

The public figures shown in this political cartoon are:

  • George W. Bush, who fought Al Gore for the United States of America’s Presidency

  • Ralph Nader, who split votes from Al Gore

  • The five Supreme Court judges [Anthony Kennedy, Sandra Day O’ Connor, Clarence Thomas, Antonin Scalia, and William Rehnquist] who ruled the Bush V. Gore case in favor of George W. Bush

  • Jeb Bush, who was Governor…

Videogamer’s rant on Bush V. Gore

MH4 gaming

I’ve been a videogame consumer since the United States of America’s 2000 Presidential election season. Living in the United States of America, I was an elementary-school child at that time.

Retroactively looking at the Supreme Court’s ruling on Bush v. Gore, which resulted in millions of Al Gore votes thrown away, I imagine myself like Nash knocked off a waterfall by M.Bison in Street Fighter Alpha 2. In the case of such a metaphor, the helicopter that shot me off a waterfall would represent the United States’ Supreme Court judges who gave the White House to George W Bush while George W. Bush himself would represent M.Bison. Because of such a Supreme Court ruling, I learned an inconvenient truth: my life in the United States of America would be as good as a patched up Nash or to put it more simply, my life in the country [United…

To vote or not to vote a woman for President

MH4 gaming

I didn’t vote Hillary for President in 2016; neither have I voted a woman for President in any election but I came veryclose to it. In case you ask how close, I’ll explain:

Back in the United States of America’s 2012 Presidential election, I casted a write-in vote for Claire Redfield, a Resident Evil videogame series character as Vice President.
