Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelists of The Roses review

This videogame revisits England’s ‘War of The Roses’ time period by implementing principles of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. Additionally, in-game duels are done by playing cards in a chessboard format; Story mode is a single-player experience giving you the choice between playing as a member of the Red Rose team [Lancaster family] or White Rose team [York family] as Yu-Gi-Oh duelists will portray figures of the aforementioned time period; There is also a two-player mode where you and a friend can compete in duels.

The adaptation of modern-day card game principles such as that of Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game to a medieval time period and having those principles adapted to a chessboard format was an attractive change of pace. Incorporation of real-time models for Yu-Gi-Oh! monsters was an ideal way to replicate the experience of watching monsters in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TV show adaptation and the background music was lovely to listen. As an epic example of multimedia integration, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelists of The Roses is worth being played irrespectively of your experience as a Yu-Gi-Oh!Trading Card Game player.
