Adopting 3rd-person Action-Adventure gameplay like the first Mega Man Legends game, I began playing as a result of it being republished in the form of a low-priced PsOne Classic at Playstation Network. Having its’ story shortly taking place before the first Mega Man Legends game, you play as the air pirate, Tron Bonne piloting her Gustaff robot while assisted by her Servbot minions through a quest to pay off loans to Mr. Loath for the sake of rescuing her siblings from ransom. The game offers you a mission-varied map after completing the first mission and you can earn leveled up variations of the same mission(s) as you progress until ready for the final in-game mission. Unlike previous games in Capcom’s Mega Man series, the in-game missions for Misadventures of Tron Bonne has differing playstyles as some emphasize the Action gameplay of Mega Man Legends, Adventure gameplay similar to Descent, and Puzzle gameplay involving movement of boxes. Nakkai Ruins (location of the first mission) is free for reexploration as opposed to other missions having a ‘once you’re finished, there’s no going back’ mechanism. The flow of dialogue among characters was unexpected than what I was accustomed to in the first Mega Man Legends game but the music was pleasing and Misadventures of Tron Bonne is an illustration of praiseworthy gameplay.
