Fatherly inspiration

My plan of immigrating to Canada for a game developer position at Capcom Vancouver was inspired by my dad’s accomplishment of immigrating from Egypt to the United States of America for an agriculture. I’m happy knowing he lived long enough to witness me get a job at Giant, which was my first paying job outside the house we lived in Virginia. As this struggle for a job at Capcom Vancouver was in progress, I was a 22 year old college student in the United States of America when he shortly died on January of 2015 after a World Bank agricultural project-related trip to Egypt. Such an event is analogous to how he was a 21 year old college student in Egypt when my paternal grandmother died. After attending my dad’s funeral, I gave a 2 week notice on quitting Giant to spend more time studying in my quest for a videogaming job.

On a side note, I’ve brainstormed the idea of honoring my dad by making a Capcom game series about agriculture.
