Initiating a transition of Capcom’s Mega Man X sub-series to the Nintendo Gameboy Color handheld system, Mega Man Xtreme is a colorful 8-byte and Action-Platformer game with its’ story taking place between Mega Man X2 and Mega Man X3. You must take control of Maverick Hunter, Mega Man X to solve a chaotic mystery of the Hunter Base’s motherboard being hacked. Mega Man Xtreme is basically a gameplay mixture of the first two Mega Man X games.
The game offers you a Normal difficulty to begin with and when completed, there’s a Hard mode that provides more boss battles to complete the in-game story. There’s a minigame nominally called Xtreme Mode, which is a gameplay modification of Hard Mode but without the emphasis on story scenes. The revolutionary gameplay synced beautifully with its’ old-fashioned music and text-based cinematics.
