It’s ironic how Marvel Comics didn’t greenlight an updated edition of this Fighting game by playing the “you can’t have access to the X-Men license” card but gave Capcom the greenlight to make an updated edition of Marvel Super-Heroes (a Fighting game with playable characters from and outside of the X-Men series) as part of the Marvel Vs. Capcom: Origins compilation and such irony is obvious when taking into account how X-Men: Children of The Atom was Capcom’s primary Marvel Comics-themed Fighting game for bringing the Marvel Vs. Capcom series into existence. I hope for the day that Capcom makes a new contract with Marvel Comics to release this game with HD graphics, online-compatible gameplay, and a vault with material that can be bought via in-game points like Marvel Vs. Capcom: Origins.
